unless you have thousands of feet don't bother.

Source: ace to work for a company that throughout or recycled stuff like this and he goes by the tractor trailer load full.

I usually keep a few around. They wrap up pretty neatly and are great for wiring into portable floodlights, fixing appliances, basically any project where you need a good heavy duty insulated plug... I just made a set of 3 double floodlights for a friend's art exhibit. We just mounted them to the ceiling, but you could easy build a quick stand/tripod and have some good shoplights...

make a circuit killer, just wire a light switch with the positive connected to the negative and go around plugging it into shit seeing what happens when you flip the switch (dont worry it's grounded)

Seriously just cut off the UPC end and wire on a cheap NEMA 5-15R.

This little shit is $4 at the Home Despot

Tie around your waist for a fashionable belt that screams "I'm from /diy/ and I'm proud!"

And seriously: put your outlet in a box or you gonna get shocked.

A 16/3 8' SJTW extension cord is going to cost you at LEAST $7. I've found 5-15R's for as low as $2.

Also where are you even getting 10' extension cords? The 16/2 SPT2 ones, which are the cheapest, come in 6', 9' and 15', and the SJTW ones in 8', 15' and up. Haven't seen any 10'.

I've had 10' in SOOW but that costs much more than $4.
