I've access to a lot of untreated softwood pallets, I have a circular saw, hammer and nails, please suggest a couple of projects for me to expend some surplus energy and time on.

tl;dr: Motherfucking palletts, how do they work?

inb4 a house, not enough room.

The wood in these is so shitty about the only decent thing you can make out of it is a fire.

My brother and I had plans to build a paintball course on my dads ranch with a bunch of these.

You'd need land though.

Both projects look cool and easy, thnaks.

A tiny backyard here, so a paintball course is out of the question, but I'm curious, what do you intend to do? Just lay a bunch of pallets around and hide behind them? Or build some structures?

I am interested in this. I find so many pallets at the dump and other places.

Total waste of trees, but that's the way this shit is right now.

I found this link the other day, pretty cool table:

not sure if my limited skillz are up to it but I'm happy to give it a try, if you have plans can you post them up?

That's cool; I would just go the table tho, without the planter thingy.

It's such a waste, a lot just go into landfill when something useful could be made of them. Like a guitar.

They aren't being thrown away, most of the time suppliers pick them up periodically, although it is possible some are being thrown away.

You could sell/re-collect the pallets, like a pallet company I know. Use a few to make a wooden office.

In Soviet Russia we built rafts and made some sea fighting in huge water-filled ditches at the construction site.
The aim of this madness was to sink the opponent's raft. With people on them of course.

I work at a Lowe's. Most of the pallets we get are just your basic pallet. Some company gives the company like $1 or $2 for each basic pallet.

There are also much sturdier blue pallets that companies such as Quickrete send us. Those are the property of the company. So if we were to lose or give away a Quickrete one, we would get charged $15 for it.

But...... in the year I have been there, I have only had 2 people ask for basic pallets. Like 2-3 each. My bosses didn't care when I asked them. If it makes the customer happy, they'll be back to our store everytime and it only cost us maybe $6 for a repeat customer. We just can't do that with the blue ones, or yellow ones. Those we get charged an asston for.

>tl;dr Just ask. Most places don't care.

Op, dig a tunnel.

Make an underground bunker.
Make a trench up top.
All you need is the planks for support.

I would seriously love life if I had those planks, I'd be building it right now lol I'm so bored.
