So my girlfriend's kid flushed a golf ball down my toilet last night.

I stopped by home depot on the way home to get a new wax ring. I was planning on pulling the toilet out, but just my fucking luck the damn thing is cemented to the floor.

All the water is drained out. I tried fishing it out with a coat hangar and I also tried a wet/dry vac. What made it worse was I thought it was just clogged and I just a plunger on it a couple times before I figured out there was a golf ball in there.

Any advice before calling a plumber? I'd rather not, I'm broke right now.

Get a thin knife, break the seal.

Pics please of cement around toilet.

Is it in the U-bend? Can you feel it with the coat hanger?

try this again using only the hose - no attachment
feed the hose through the trap
when it finds the golf ball, it will suck it against the end of the hose
ease the hose back out with the golf ball
(take the plastic insert off the end of the hose too)

you did try to unbolt the toilet from the floor before attempting to lift it, right? you would have to be a real retard to ement a toilet to a floor. its probably caulk or grout you are seeing.

leave it.

the golf ball is probably miles away by now.

DO YOU EVEN KNOW how a sewer works?

That's not cement, it looks like in front it's just tile grout, in back it maybe mastic or some kind of tile adhesive, i'm guessing they didnt bother to tile behind the toilet.

In any case, the toilet should pop right up if you pry on it some. It might mess up the grout job, but normally people tile underneath the toilet also, if they're dumb enough to tile around a toilet then i bet the tile doesnt look that great anyways, so who cares if you fuck up the grout around it?

This. Standard US toilet connections are 3 or 4 inches. They'll easily pass a golf ball. (Ever eaten at Taco Bell?) Treat this like you'd treat any other clogged toilet.

After you sort out the toilet issue, marry the bitch and give the kid the full red-headed stepchild treatment.

I got it out. I chipped the grout away and the toilet lifted right off.

Thanks guys.
