Those are RS232 serial ports, not video. You don't HAVE on-board video, you have to plug a video card into a bus slot.

You've got two serial ports, a parallel port, and ... what is that 15-pin D connector? Macs used those for video once upon a time but that seems unlikely. (If it *is* video you can get a converter from it to the HD15 VGA connector if you want.) Probly easiest to just get a video card.

It's what joysticks and gamepads used before USB. The ADCs were built into the motherboard so a joystick was just some voltage divider potentiometers delivering an analog signal. It made it easy for people with no electronics experience to make their own joysticks.

If my old 6600gt was agp I would send it to you, but it's the PCI version. You will need some agp card with a vga port (since I'm fairly sure that a motherboard featuring those ports does not have PCI). Find something like an old 5000 series nvidia card for <10 bucks and it should work.

Those white slots on the mobo that you can see threw the case are PCI. He might have an AGP in there too but he definitely has PCI.
