Hey /diy/. So I've always wanted to build awesome stuff. Problem being I've never had any idea how to go about building any of the crazy ideas floating around in my head. So I was wondering, do you guys know of any guides to the basics of stuff like woodworking and electronics/electrical stuff that you would be willing to share to help me on my way? Picture unrelated.

Get an electrical multimeter, some basic tools like hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, drills, bits, etc and grab some scrap wood or even buy some then try making properly measured cuts and proper holes. Also, find some electrical equipment to take apart and learn whats inside. Your computer is a good thing to clean start with that.

You'll then want to find some online courses (not legit with certificates) and learn as much as you can about electricity, wiring, fixtures, and diagrams/schematics.

as with anything creative i think you just have to start jotting down ideas you have then review them and then just set to one of them. im biding my time, ill be a creative and DIYer one day when i have the support of my fellows and my peers... :/ lel or if i just branch of and say fuck it :D
