Hey /diy/, I'm looking to build a Coffin guitar case, like the one in the picture, for my Epiphone EB-3 SG bass. I'd buy it, but I don't have a buck fifty to spend on a fancy box, and I'm fairly capable with my hands, so I figured I'd make one. How start?

Sort of, my bass is 47 1/2" long, and it doesnt say if he uses plywood or a plank... also, how would you go about the funky angles that a coffin has that a square case doesnt?

Here are the angles that make up the generic coffin shape. All you have to do is scale this doodle up to the size of your bass. A miter saw would be your best bet when it comes to cutting those angles. You could cut them on a table saw, but the longer pieces are going to be a bit unruly unless you have a sled.

I'd suggest using plywood.

Yeh looking at that recipe. it's a formula to make a rock. There's no moistener component.

You didn't look very close, it calls for 3 tablespoons of water.

I've made a few of the brownie in mug recipes before, and what they all seem to have in common is that while they are nice if you start to eat them immediately, they begin to dry out insanely fast. I mean like even if a ham planet tried eating one at full speed straight out of the microwave it would be inedibly solid before they got halfway through.

I find they work a lot better if you replace the 3 tablespoons of oil with 3 tablespoons of butter. It's a little hard to mix in if you're in a cold climate so it helps to start out by melting the butter in the mug before you put anything else in.
