even better than reposting hundreds of infographics, why not just look for one about backing up files.

seriously. buy a few flash drives and learn how to copy files.

I.. I had one infograph about back-upping.. but.. I.. I didnt read it after I downloaded it.. I just collect them thinking they might be useful one day.

Yours truly, OP

>had infographic about "back-upping"
>didn't read
>it's somehow /diy/ responsibility to replace them
Not to sound like a prick, but you thought they might be useful, yet you didn't create a second copy of the data?

Imagine data storage methods are car tires. Until NASA developed the modern tire, people taking car trips longer than 20 minutes packed a lunch, counting on the scaled-up bicycle tires that cars were using to go flat and fail.

Current hard disk drives, solid state drives, and flash drives are pre-NASA car tires; Count on them to fail and bring spares.

That's code for "I'm too lazy/stupid to make backups" you know that, right?

Not an infographic but still cool:

Cu(II)SO(IV) [Said "Copper-two-sulfate"] Burns green. Grab a handful of the dust and toss it in to a bonfire and you get green fire.

When filming the scenes to "Diagon Alley" in harry potter this is how they made green fire, it wasn't CGI. You can get a 5 pound bag of the stuff on ebay for like $10, shit's cheap.

Anyway, you can buy a lot of other compounds to turn fire colors, like Potassium salts (Potassium sulfate for example) will turn the fire magenta, almost pink. Sodium goes yellow, etc...

Obviously don't ingest any of this stuff, but it is all safe for skin contact. i.e. Copper Sulfate is an extremely strong diarrhetic and you'll be on the john for a few hours.
