Can we have a thread for small rooms/spaces? Storage, building furniture, stuff like that?

I'm moving into a new house soon and it's very small. Before this I've had relatively large, open rooms so I'm not used to decorating such a small place. The only thing I know for sure is that I will need to incorporate as much storage as possible and that I want to have a loft bed in my bedroom for added storage/floor space.

Will post some pictures of small bedrooms I have, most if not all have loft beds.

At least it's easy to find images like this, seems like small houses/rooms are "in" right now.

...although a lot of the sites and magazines I've looked at have a pretty warped sense of what they consider small. I mean I know it's kind of relative but you could fit an elephant in some of them, do these people live in mansions or something?

About 10x10 feet, possibly a bit smaller.

From what I've heard it's enough to cram a full size bed and a dresser in with very little walking space, which is why I'm thinking loft bed. The only good thing is the closet being on the same wall as the door, so that frees up a wall at least.

you are agonizing over 10x10?
I lived in a 10x10 for ~19 years. really isnt that bad.
plenty of room.
The loft is a good idea though.

My current place is something like 11x10.
Ive got a couple feet between where the photo ends and the wall, and its mostly taken up by bookcases.

Oh I'm not agonizing, I'm just used to having a somewhat open space, like lots of walking room between stuff, so I'm looking to condense furniture to make it feel a bit bigger.

because i just find it funny that you would consider these rooms small... they're fucking huge in comparison to the bedrooms in England... i mean, i'm in student halls and i have a 10x10 room that has a desk, bed, wardrobe, en suite, ironing board, fridge, tv, bedside table, clothes and rubbish bins, etc and there is by far more room then any person needs. but then again, everyone over here is used to small houses... i dont know what id do if i had space to walk around in

I have really tall ceilings in my house, so I can do just about any position in mine (aside from any standing positions). Mine can take the rigorous movement quite easily, because I over-engineered the fuck out of it.

I've had girls that wouldn't fuck in it. But none in a "lol grow up fag" way. The only ones that wouldn't were solely concerned with fucking in a diy loft bed and then having it collapse mid way through. So you just fuck them on the couch.
