Sup /diy/niosaurs, I know this is a slow board but I poorly planned a rush job to the local hardware emporium and I wanted to do some woodwork this week, any suggestions on some moderate level diy project I can make? Appreciate any quick responses thanks guys, my first diy thread, but long time lurker

Make a nice cabinet/table/chair/stool? The initial creation of the object will be easy, but then do some carving and make it fancy.

Or you could make something similar to a cigarbox guitar if you're into that sort of thing.

Op here, I think a nice table will do nicely, currently have a futon on the floor I have to sit at to use the computer which is killer on the back, a higher table would allow me to just pull up a chair, and allow some room for under shelving, but I don't want it to be to desk like, hmm. Well I didn't make it to the hardware store, I stopped at an exotic pet shop and ended up buying a paradox albino Kenyan sand boa. (Pic related) but I'm gonna pick this up over the weekend, anyone got any pics of interesting tables such as the one I'm talking about to give me an idea of what kind of features I could add?

Tonight I made in about a hour a toolbox like pic related, it's nothing special but it's a start even more if you're starting to get into diy. I'm going to pinstripe it and add a fake 50's logo. Also you can make all sorts of dividers or trays inside.
