I recently came into possession of a chemical based fire extinguisher. It is depressurized and the nozzle is mostly missing. My question is, what could I do/make with the shell, whats left of the head, and the powder that was left(an altoids box's worth)? Thank you for your time and consideration.

Not op, but sweet idea.

My idea is to put a valve on it, fill it with air, and attach a tire filling nozzle on it. You could stop by a local car repair shop and ask nicely if they'll fill it for you. Even if you have your own shop compressor, it's still nice to have a portable tank.

this sounds like an awesome idea, to have a portable tank.
Just having a air-compressed tank that's 'handheld' would help with a lot of things: (of the top of my head) one of thoes compressed air cleaners, or a fix for on the spot bike flat, heck idk quick air brush

if the dip tube (part that goes down, if powder units have those) is intact, or if you can cobble one, you could make a mighty fine water gun.

Make a gas tank/stock for an airgun or try to make an arm cannon for Metroid cosplay. Also what are the pressure markings? I can't read this.

many years ago i worked at an auto paint and body shop. during this one rainy season, billions of frogs hatched, and were migrating across the land. thousands of them came hopping through the shop, looking for warmth and moisture. some of them were attracted to the pipes coming from the filter/dryers on the compressed air lines. they would crawl inside the pipes by the dozens. these dryers remove the moisture from the air lines coming from the air compressor, so that no water gets into the paint guns. The dryers are automatic, so when their collection tank gets water in it, it quickly blows it out the drain pipe. This is the pipe the tiny frogs liked to gather in. each time the valve opened, a handful of frogs were launched across the yard like being fired out of a cannon, and they just kept coming. we angled the pipes up off the ground, thinking it would keep the poor frogs out, but they still climbed their way up the pipe and got inside, so it only made things worse, because now the frogs were launched even higher, and farther into the air. This only lasted about a week before all the frogs had made their way to wherever they were going, and stopped coming through. As tragic as it was for these little frogs, it was funny to actually see it happen.

Just saiyan. Also, could be used as a tank for a t-shirt/potato/dildo cannon

Maybe stick a regulator on there as well so you can see what it's charged to and control the pressure seen at the end. I like the idea though!
