any toughts on this? i just buy a can to try it on some holes i made on galvanized metal sheets to put a HVAC duct, i havent tried yet but i wanted to know if any of you have experience with this or similar products.

I watched some reviews online but it seems it was more like the costumer fault than anything else, some dude was trying to use it to fix pipes and other one a hole in a fuel tank.

DUCT tape

interestingly, you should use aluminium vent tape rather than duct tape, on your ductwork. However, OP wants to seal the aperture through which the duct is passing, so a sealing compound is a more appropriate choice in this case.

this guy is correct, i usually use a product that is used to waterproof concrete roofs, but is not very good on metal because of dilatation and stuff, i also use polyurethane, it works ok, but the finished is very bad.

The biggest gap between the roof and the duct i would say that is 1 or 2 inches.

Flex Seal is a massive fucking rip off. It's just rubber automotive undercoat with a different label.

You can get the same stuff for $4 a can at any hardware store, automotive store or even walmart.

Pic related.
