I want to make an umbrella which, when the button is pressed, a small pellet is fired. How could I hollow it out without breaking it, and what kind of mechanism should I use to make it fire?

without machine tools I don't see that there's a whole lot you could do here really

also....... it would probably be easier to rig up an umbrella as a single-shot 22LR than it would be to rig it up as a pellet gun. You could just make a copy of a stinger pen gun and hide it inside the folded-up umbrella. -If you had access to machine tools, of course.
