Try all makeshift experiments from all episodes of the MacGyver Legacy. Included the one of stopping toxic (and/or) nuclear flooding with chocolate bars.

>drove to friend's house
>later; oops, locked my keys in the car
>keys were still in ignition
>got wire coat hanger from friend
>twisted it until it broke apart
>had left window open a tad because of ridiculously hot weather
>pushed wire hanger through the window
>hooked it through the car key
>pulled key out of ignition
>pulled it back through crack in window
>unlocked car.

I lock my keys in my car all the damn time; glad I actually had enough smarts to get the key out myself this one time.

A friend of mine had an old International Scout. One day his rear differential failed, leaving him in the middle of nowhere. He crawled under the truck, disconnected the driveshaft and wired it up so it wouldn't drag. Then he locked the front hubs put it in 4wd and drove it as a front wheel drive. He drove it like that for months before fixing it.

I did this at the park, I bring a spare key with me to go running so I don't have a bulky amount of keys.
>wear loose fitting running shorts
>put spare key in pocket
>leave regular keys in center console
>go to run
>run, cool down, go to get in car
>lol no key in pocket
>lol it is on the seat of the car because it fell out on the drive there
>look around for something to snag door lock knob with
>find a stick with the right hook on it
>pull glass away from body (frameless doors on my car)
>snag door lock knob with a freaking stick
>never keep anything valuable in my car ever

At Girlfriends house
>I brought my four wheelr over since she lives on a farm and she has never rode on one
>I left all electronics in my truck since we would be going through some streams
>The four wheelers throttle stopped working
>Use two rocks to shear a length of steel wire from an old cattle fence
>Used the rocks to hammer the fence into the hole where a rivet fell out of my throttle lever
> Fold over the ends and ride it like that till I sold it
