Okay guys, I need help. I want to make an Ezio outfit for halloween. Nothing fancy, and I'm looking to make it out of household objects. I'm thinking I can use a white hoodie for the base outfit with black pants. How would I go about making the rest of the outfit? (I don't really need the weapons, so don't worry about breaking any rules)

It's also a DIY project, I'm not buying shit because I'm lacking in the money.

You do realize many of them make their own costumes, right?

>> No.29963

With materials from shops and other craft items they may have on hand, yes. Unfortunately I can't get these materials. That's why I said from household items. The fact still stands that it's a DIY project therefore it can be (and already has been) posted here.

Here you go. I'll dump some tutorials for you. But you're gonna need SOME cash if you just plain don't have the right materials. You just can't make a leather cape with muslin or quilter's cloth. Even a thicker fabric would be acceptable, but if you don't got it, you don't got it.

I'll dump some glove patterns first until I can fine some sleeve patts for you.

You'll need this for the outer vest shirt armor thing.

If you don't have a good shirt for the undershirt, you'll have to make one. You can use a regular button-down shirt as a basic shirt pattern and then use a separate pattern for the sleeves. You can use these sleeves for the undershirt, then gather the edges or something. I got bishop sleeves if you wanna use those instead.

dumping boot cover tutorials next.
I can't find my hoodie tutorial, though. A hood is essentially two quarter-circles with a rectangle, and I'm sure that there is a simple tutorial somewhere on the internet if you need one.

Thought this may come in handy if you're able to find leather. awls can be very useful, since leather can kill a normal machine if it's too thick, and hand-sewing them is the most painful sewing-related thing in the world.

for what you're doing, if you have a machine, you'll probably want to learn how to make a basic seam, a top-stitched seam, and double-stitches seam for durability.

This shows another way to make armor and can be applied to the belt decoration too. Sorry, I'm spent. I really need to organize my folders. Hope these helped, bro.

These helped a shit ton, thanks. I'm hoping my gf's mom can ride me out to hobby lobby or something. If she does buy the shit for me it won't be much at all, and I'm not looking for an exact replica for right now so I'm not worried about details. I was thinking of doing the cape with a red cloth instead of leather and save the leather for the armor pieces and vambraces. Won't be using gloves, and as for boots I already have some. Was also thinking of using a white hoodie underneath the armour and have it slightly unzipped to simulate his coat

Sounds good. Make sure to look around the front of the store for cooupons. Since it IS Halloween there's gonna be a huge sale on fabric, and you may have to bat some old people away from any materials you want. For the cape, since you're gonna be using a fabric, I suggest a fabric that is on the stiffer side but not TOO heavy. this will let it flow nicer and it won't just hang limply. Go to the goodwill for your belts if you have one near you or a facsimile thereof. I pick up all my belts there and you'll have plenty of buckles. Sometimes it's cheaper than buying them at a craft store.

Sorry, now that I think about it the tutorials I posted were probably too detail-oriented for a simple closet-costume.
