I really can't state how much I hate my crawlspace.
I may actually do something like this.
Although all I've thought of(and I have thought about it before) is a RC vehicle with a night vision camera that has a small dump truck bed to deliver poison bait.

I've also thought of a quad copter with a can of wasp spray.
A remote control atv with a plow too.
I have no experience with programming, robotics or electronics, nor do I have the space to tinker with such things.

My own airport with a nice race track built around it. Outside of that some nice offroad trails with obstacles and other neat stuff. Some fun rally shit too. Pretty much just fun plane and auto shit. I went to school for CS, got a degree, then went into custom fabrication work, running CNC’s and whatnot instead.
Now I made a video game and it’s doing extremely well. You just have to find an idea you care about and follow through with it.

If you have enough rats in your crawlspace to warrant, it cant be that hard to rig up a co2 pellet gun with a camera and ir light on a rc car or something. The main barrier is pushing through the weirdness of actually putting it together, but then you have a cool fps minigame to play that takes place right underneath your house and has some benefit. might need a separate rc excavator for burying bodies tho.
