I understand a day or 2 but maybe if they want me to use their service they should, I dunno, give me what I want. Last time I bought something it never even shipped.

I'm sure it's going to depend on what you like to make. There's going to be different suppliers for wool, or oil paints, or whatever. Start the discussion with some research too.
Example: 'I've been trying to get better beads than I can find on Amazon or Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I want better quality but not if the price is 10x what those stores have. I see that some people use ponybeadstore.com and wanted to check if it was actually a good value?'

That's the seller. Amazon can ship it in 2 days, but that's 2 days from whenever the seller decides to ship it out, not 2 days from when you order it. Try getting it from a different seller and you may get a faster delivery.
