Do you ever ask for help finding something at the store? Do you look like you're a regular customer at your favorite stores?

>> No.2662724

Nah, I go to Home Depot at 6 AM when I get off work. It's great. They're still opening up the store and stocking stuff so you don't really get bothered.

I just wish I had known they were open so early for years prior. So many wasted opportunities...

yeah, i try to be polite as possible about it, and intuition tells me it will be rude to disrupt someone doing their job to ask for help but
1. their work never ends and they will always have shit to get done.
2. boomers and niggers rudely interrupt what theyre doing and then demand full service
so i just try and be as quick as i can...
ill usually stand near them and use my body language to let them know i would like their attention, and wait for them to finish the immediate task and then offer to help me. if they just blatanly ignore me (nigger tier behavior i encounter from time to time) ill try to politely interrupting them for help directing me towards what i need. then theres always the super polite employees who (who are probably told too) try to walk me to towards the item, i try and end the conversation there and let them get back to their task at hand

I got some poor sap in trouble the other day in the paint department. I needed a can of spray paint that the website said they had 48 of but it wan't on the shelf. The entire area looked like shit with cans all over in the wrong place and missing caps on tons of them. I grabbed an employee and they happened to be like a GM or something and they couldn't find it in topstock, so they called the guy over the paint department and he couldn't find it either. The manager was bitching out the employee for the area being in disarray. I eventually found the paint I needed in boxes on the floor under the shelves while they were both still looking in top stock. Two days later I go back for more and the area was fucking pristine and organized.

Eh, I get bugged at work all the time, these niggers don't have an alarm and if they did they'd want to rip their head off. So no, I don't care. If I need help, I ask and yes I'll bug them while they're stocking. If someone gets uppity I'll tell them the robot that's cleaning their floor will stock their product and they can get a job sucking cock elsewhere. But menards doesn't have niggers or stupid fucks so I never have a problem asking where something is. Shit I would be flabbergasted if even one person actually knew where every thing is at any time. So I'm glad they just say sure and usually I'm close to where something is and bam they can just direct me to whatever I need.

Plus if something isn't where you expect that item to be even the people working their are flummoxed at where something is. I don't complain because glad you guys knew what I was even looking for.

I used to go to the same Target a lot, usually 3-4 times a week after work because I like Target and it was near my apartment. I wouldn't look suspicious or anything and would buy at least one thing almost every time. Unfortunately I started feeling watched and at one point some manager-looking guy randomly appeared in the aisle I was in and asked if I need help with anything. I just stopped going after that.

>Also, why are they so many beautiful latinas working at home depot?
when I worked there I learned they purposely hire attractive college-aged girls to be cashiers because they know the fat contractors and construction workers will be drawn in to buy stuff.

they'll do anything the Pro customers ask to, the pro desk cashier was this gross bitchy old lady and while she was on vacation they replaced her with a younger and more attractive woman. when the older one came back, several of the Pros complained to management and the oldster lost her spot. then they replaced the new cashier with an even younger chick with a fat ass and suddenly the pros were hanging around the desk for an hour each.

at home depot I only ask for assistance when I cannot find something where the app says it is, since there may be some high up on the shelves, otherwise all the HD people do is look at the app.

At ace hardware I only ask when I can't find something as they often put stuff in non intuitive places.

as for help doing something? no. I know more than they do.

helping customers figure out the right solution for their unique circumstances is actually pretty interesting, shame we don't sell the right product for half of these cases
like why the hell do we sell lifepo4 batteries down to 7ah if we don't have a 1-5a mppt charge controller
why do we sell jst crimp kits but not dupont crimp kits
why no panel mount deutsch connectors
why no stc1000s or pid controllers

Most of the time I prefer shopping at the big box stores, but there are some products that I've found are easier to find at local stores, especially the more obscure things. Home Depot is seemingly always out of snowblower shear pins while the local stores know what they're for and always have a huge stock of them. That's one of the things I can directly attribute to the big stores being run by a corporation very far away and not understanding their consumer base.

I make concrete planters using GFRC. I love it when I go in to ask where miscellaneous concrete shit is and they decide I need help and ask me what application I’m doing. Most have never heard of GFRC so they get this blank look.
