Apartment is a tear-down. You're looking at a massive repair bill either way. New drywall, carpet, floors, appliances. There's no way that will get fixed without the landlord noting work trucks or vans, and the noise of the work being done.
You're going to get blackballed from renting. Seek mental health treatment. Maybe you can dodge the inevitable lawsuit that way, probably not.
You're fucked, no matter what you do. Tell the landlord, you get evicted, and sued. Fix it, get caught, get evicted, and sued. Leave it after moving out, landlord sees the damage, you're sued.
