I'm not a low-voltage electrician, just a salaried IT and data professional who gladly indulges her penny-pinching bosses with a little a physical labour to make my job more interesting.
But running data cabling isn't terribly difficult or challenging work. And if, as I said, you start picking up the skills to design and plan networking layout (including the active devices like switches, routing, and wifi), then there are decent career options out there for that. And anything telecom/ISP seems to be bustling work.
The actual work will involve a lot of ladders and performing work above your head. That's usually what "gets me" when I DIY it rather than bring in a contractor, it just fucking sucks putting screws into a ceiling by hand.
As for loads and lifting, a 1000ft spool of high-quality commercial networking cable is about 50 lbs, so I'd aim for being able to lug that around if your employer is too cheap to give you smaller spools to wind it onto. You might also have to position server racks and their contents (including holding up for wall mounting).

Again, not my career, but it's fun stuff whenever I have the excuse to do it.

Thanks anon. My day varies a lot when the weather gets warmer. Lots more gardening, and this year I want to learn how to put down pavers to make a little patio near my deck. I also like going out and taking photos of flowers and then trying to do ink and watercolors of the flowers. Also: sporting clays! Probably an electrician. Plumbing involves bending over and kneeling enough for joints to act up in normal people. Dry wall involving breathing in enough dust to coat your twice over. Concrete involving bending over and working with sludge mixed with lye. In framing you have to literally lift walls and wood beams regularly enough that if you see a fat framer they tend to be on drugs or very good at fucking off when it's time to stand walls. No clue about hvav but I've seen plenty of fat plumbers and electricians on job sites so it shouldn't be too physically intensive compared to the other trades. The pay is also higher, but the requirements are higher as well. A pretty good rule of thumb I've learned is the more physically intensive, the lower the pay, and the lower the entry requirements beyond speak any language with possible literacy the more likely you are to have South Americans and Mexicans doing it

I'd take a large sack of potatoes or a small woven rug. Really I'd pay to get her off my hands so don't call my bluff. Really though if you weren't completely restart to being around chemicals then maybe instrument mechanic. You might have some 2nd hand exposure but it's not a primary job function like spraying insecticide or paint. Steel mills, refineries, chemical plants, powerstations(nuclear, coal, diesel, NG), water treatment plants, pipelines, pumphouses, etc. You work on different electronic measuring devices like temperature probes, pressure sensors, chemical analyzers. Installation, maintenance and calibration. Worked at a plant for a while that had 8 instrumentation people and 3 were women. Aaron far as hands on work goes I see a higher percentage of women do that than anything else at plants I go to(aside from hole or fire watch) and second after that would be plant/boiler operators but if you don't want chemical exposure that's not the route you want to go.

I was going to say this too, the only thing with instrumentation is that sometimes you have to calibrate scales with huge weights up to 1000kg or take control valves off pipework but nobody would expect someone to do that if they didn't feel comfortable with it. I have had bosses who act like I don't know how to wire a 3-way switch five years in, and others who berate me for not being able to hook up a switchgear from start to finish without a single print or layout, or for being able to pull 1000 feet of 2/0 off the reel from the other end of the pull, by hand, by myself. As his social value climbs as he ages, he eventually gets bored with home life, and has lots of opportunity to cheat, fall in love with coworker, fuck an intern or whatever. Higher paid jobs usually require pretty specialized skills, so he and his wife have less and less in common each assign year. It’s easy for him to become attracted to another other lawyer at the firm, or the marketing VP at his startup.

Don’t get me wrong. It possible to have this perfect life, but it sure as shit isn’t the norm.

I would focus on Purchasing, Health and Safety (NCSO) or Project Coordinator/Project Management.

I'm a 5 foot woman industrial electrician. Sometimes dragging 10 foot 2 inch rigid around sucks but it's not much. I worked in a flower shop and it's not chemical free, we get boxes of roses from Ecuador that's been dipped in pesticide and fungicide. If you are unlucky you get customers that are rough and break stuff. Flowershop is a serious labour of love.

Going into a trade as a girl is going to be an uphill battle from beginning to end. Look into PLC programming if you have patience and seriously explore other job types as well. The only woman I have ever seen work a trade that I respected was this lady who did the rebar work on pools. She ran her crew, didn't complain, got the job done and was out there doing the work. She was in her 40s or early 50s and though the sun had taken its toll on her skin, she still looked feminine and was probably quite beautiful in her early years. Not dykish at all, and you know she had to work harder than everyone else to get where she was.

So you're entire post gives off none of the characteristics of a person, especially a woman, who is trying to get into the trades. The trades are hard work. They offer the ability to advance if you are smart and capable. If you aren't, you become an eternal helper. I don't think you would even be a good helper if your first sentence is "I have bad joints."
