Anyone here know anything about fiberglass repair and painting? I've got some small holes I think I can fill with kitty hair, just chamfer the edge right. For bigger cracked areas I guess cloth on the undersides, I assume if I want to put it on top I'd have to sand down all the gel coat. Do spiderweb cracks in the gel coat matter at all or will that just be irrelevant with paint on top? For painting I have read mix in a flex agent, this is also done for plastic bumpers on street cars.

This piece I think might have white paint over red gel coat, it's flaking up badly and has a visible drip spot when looking close

Bump. Sidepods are in good shape at least.

My dad does. Can you clarify exactly what questions you have? Then I'll get back to you

How do I best repair cracks like in >>2570220
Should I sand the remaining gel coat down and spread kitty hair/a fiberglass cloth? Or only repair the underside where it is raw fiberglass already and just hope primer/paint fills the cracks and makes them invisible? Small gel coat cracks ok to just paint over?
