Insane levels of interior humidity. Anything cold inside the house will sweating huge amounts of condensation. Your HVAC registers when the AC is on, all your water pipes, your refrigerator, your windows at night, the basement slab and foundation walls... and all that condensation is going to be soaking in to the drywall, framing, insulation, etc. Perfect conditions for mold, mildew, and rot.

Also the gigantic thermal mass of it will make you HVAC system have to work a billion times harder to heat & cool the house.

That's actually one thing that's highly unlikely to happen. Most slab failures happen either because of hydro-static pressure pushing upwards on them, or because of a huge load concentrated at one point. Something like this that is spread out over a large surface area isn't likely to cause any problems, the slab just transfers that load to the ground below it.

OSB and particle board are not the same. Particle board is sawdust and glue, OSB is wood chips and glue. They have very different properties, mainly strength and ability to grip fasteners.

That's actually a much better idea. It's above ground so it's nowhere near as bad if there's a leak or if you need to empty it, and with the door open there's a ton of ventilation to remove humidity. It's almost like a large covered porch. This actually seems very comfy compared to the basement pool.

They'd probably mass produced a bunch of cases and PCBs already. It was a lot cheaper to pay someone to bodge a PCB than it was to produce a new one back then so you'll find lots of jumpers on old stuff. Sometimes also just because it was cheaper than to add a layer to make routing possible.

This was posted here long ago and someone shopped the pic into a morgue with a body on the slab.

I commented that it looks like a construction guy who either inherited the house or had a divorce and hauled scavenged stuff from jobs and had his buddies come over on weekends to slap shit together and paid them in beer.

Another poster said that he saw that happen to a house and knew the guy and that was exactly how it came to be.

Especially the beer.

My house was turned back over to the bank and a similar situation happened, they did the absolute minimum to pass a walk through inspection, tiled over rotten floorboards, perched the toilet in place, 60% of the outlets had reversed polarity, etc etc

the pattern of pinholes on one wall from where they hung the dartboard next to the bar was pretty funny

Fortunately, The repairs were affordable and it ended up OK.

Water flowing straight down was too noisy, so they put in the spirals to slow it down. Turns out there was that vent/box in the way so they had to put in a bend to get around it, then they had to keep doing the spirals again and join it back with the drain.
