Lamps, plants and organization. Little shit like under cabinet lighting or desk lamps. I put soft white LEDs under my desk and under my workbench because /comfy/. Be organized to keep clutter down, makes your space nicer to be in. Paint is an easy way to make a space feel more /comfy/ as well.

1. Noise reduction is one of the harder things, but it makes a big difference to me, since I no longer want to have the radio or TV on all the time, and I can hear every damn dog and leaf blower in the neighborhood when the weather is nice enough to open the windows.

2. Climate control. Good insulation makes this a lot easier. Heat and cooling that is specific to one room can make that room very comfy. But make sure to have plenty of fresh air as well.

3. Good chair and bed. Sometimes you have to experiment to find a chair that fits your body. I had one that seemed fine but after a few months one of my hips started hurting. I changed chairs and that healed up quickly, and the "bad" chair didn't feel uncomfortable.

Sorry but these are all simple no nonsense solutions to the problem... essentially, it took you only a moment or two to come up with it. I was actually looking for an expensive, unrealistic, unachievable defined set so that I can complain about not being able to do it instead of doing it.

Start with yourself, make space i your mind to figure out how you want to spend your time. Once you figure that out you surround yourself with furniture and inspiration condusive to that. I like reading and painting, so I turned my basement into a studio, wood floors, stone fireplace and s big circular hippy chair like pic rel beside my easel.

You cant force true cozy sovl, its earned over time.

Spend a bit of money on your bed
I just have a cheapie ikea king frame that doesnt matter but a good mattress and luxury bedding is worth spending a few bucks on
Cotton or silk sheets, duvet, good pillows
No polyester
Keep it clean
Same with other linens dont cheap out on towels buy the biggest fluffiest towel you can find
Have some good socks and/or slippers on hand

Calming activities are nice
Legos already mentioned, i also like cooking/baking, plants/gardening and puzzles, vidya and taking care of my dog

I'm probably old enough to at least be your patent.
Regardless, I'm wise enough to know that basing an entire list of ways to be comfortable on other people's attributes and actions that you can only really control by being a recluse and avoiding them is the lazy and self indulgent way out that only appeals to bitchy cynics who don't want to "get it" and couldn't if they tried.

For you? No fucking clue, but considering you use the word "comfy' and post on 4chan, it's safe to assume you're in a permanent state of suspended development as a child/preteen. So just surround yourself with toys and bright shiny objects.

Me? I hate clutter, I like things clean, and comfortable. No unicorn poop RGB, things put away unless I'm using them, and having actual furniture, not IKEA crap and folding tables. And, you know, the whole "adult" thing, where I don't need a carefully curated playpen to get anything done or be content.

Pic related is a fine italian leather sofa i got for free
It was in one of those rich people rooms that get used twice a year max and they were renovating it because forest green is a tacky 90s colour

Minimalism. The successful people are work for practice this almost across the board. Get all your crap off the floor. If you can't run a Roomba in your house, you're cluttered. Clutter everywhere clouds your mind and makes every simple task you do more difficult.

Form and function. I think most people get hung up on one or the other. You want to be able to comfortably do many things and you want some aesthetic so it's presentable to other people. It also keeps you motivated when your work and living spaces are well kept.

Feng Shui. I'm getting into the bullshit here, but having a flow to your space is good. I look at this as a combination of design and adding elements that are practical to living. So color coordination, appropriate lighting, have living things like plants or pets, good climate control, the right furniture in the right places.

>>2549699
Paint an accent wall, The bed is kinda grim, maybe get it up as a trundle that you could use for clothes storage. Reorient the table, drop the tower down, wire conceal, get the heater off the floor and connected to the table. Improve the blinds and lighting. You can do better.

Your mind must still be capable of breaking down processes into minimal discrete steps.
As soon as your mind fails to break down a task like "I have to move junk out of the way to make some room" or "I need to find an Ethernet cable" it will just become demotivating and effectively dead space because you will have to invest mental effort into breaking the task down into steps yourself. No, you don't have anything important to teach to anyone. You yourself aren't important to anyone either, considering you're so jaded you don't want people around you. Just all around an unpleasant human being, but I bet you think that others should put up with it because you're so special or whatever copium you're huffing.

I'd say, feng shui basics are very important. The reason why so many people ITT think small spaces are comfy is not because it's cramped, but because they feel safe there. That same feeling of safety can be recreated in a bigger room, you just need to do it right.
The colors in OPs pic are perfect, except maybe that weird painting sitting on top of the fireplace, blue doesn't fit in that room.
Earth tones with a sprinkle of fire is peak comf.
Only one door in the room. This is non-negotiable. Relatively small windows, so there's no feeling of being exposed.
Not too much clutter, but it should never be sterile, if it's too cleaned up you won't feel comfy because there's always that nagging thought to keep it 100% clean.
Sharing is caring. With at least one other person you are very comfortable with, + optionally a pet. Being forever alone in a comfy room quickly turns it uncomfy. A wife is preferred for obvious reasons, but a bro who lives close by and comes over often is fine too.

Ethanol fireplace.

You make yourself ethanol from corn or other agricultural harvest. 3kg of corn will be converted to 1liter of ethanol. 1 liter will burn for 1-3 hours, depends on how big you want the flame to be. Can be used in your apartment, no gas, smoke, smell. it is bio.
