>sloppy, blobby braze joints
>love the assortment of fittings to get from the TXV outlet to the distributor
>scorched/melted wires behind outlet plus didn't repair wire rubbing through against u-bend
What a shit job anon. Quit using a B-tank and switch to oxy-acetylene.

Got the second jack hammer bit stuck while trying to free the first one. Shit was more stuck than Excalibur.

First valve looks cooked, like someome torched the shit out of it. I'm guessing the flare was leaking and someone tried to tighten the nut but twisted the copper instead.
Instead of getting another flare valve and replacing the twisted stub someone decided to hack a sweat valve in. Since the connections were the wrong size they had to (sloppily) braze in a stub, bushing, and coupling tentatively brazed to the old distributor. Hopefully none of that excess rod balled up inside the distributor or cap tubes. They they hacked the flare nut off the equalizer on the new valve and jammed that together with another championship quality braze, which hopefully didn't block up the equalizer tube. That's assuming, of course, that none of this abortion leaks.

What would be the best way to fix a distributer tube on a valve like that, that is from the 80s going by the paint color of the head its either r12 or r502 that would be exeptible to the keyboard refrigeration experts. I'm not sure if they even make that large of a valve body for an evap that small anymore

Proof power tools are only as efficient and the mann using them. Next time just start with the sledge and save yourself time and money.

Build a fire on top, let it burn for 30 mins and pour a bucket of water on it, the rock will split in half for you. You're welcome.
