Official "/diy/ is the greatest board to ever exist on 4chan" thread.

Enjoy this lovely 555 timer diagram!

it's kind of scary, because 4chan has always been very creative, just in a pointless manner. Now it can be constructive! Where we're going, we don't need memes...

555 timer IC is now a meme.

This thread makes me want to make a puzzle box for some reasonl I don't even have a use for it.

Should I skim one out and put it up?

I am thinking of using a set of spirals and touch sensors in the right pattern on the group of spirals.

Go for it. Puzzle boxes are pretty damned bitchin.

blah thinking how it work then will draw something up.

Maybe have a "hollow" box with the sense along the spirals. I can use http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Touch-Sensor/
for the sensors. Then just have a key that is entered with the touching in the right sequence to open the box. what would be the coolest way for the box to open? Maybe have the side slide up to reveal a second touch pad, that releases the top of the box?

agreed, i used the 741 much more often than the fuckin 555. For an AMV I mostly use two BC547 which can be desoldered for no money.

I think /diy/ can (and will) continue to have the best sources of information on 4chan. Things that work//interesting things will be reposted, based on users testing them out themselves and finding great results. People will continue helping each other troubleshoot when these guides don't work, or if everyone is having trouble, whatever idea is was will be scrapped from the board to prevent further frustration.

There is no other board on 4chan like this. I would say /p/, /trv/, and /int/ come close though.

I do think we will have memes... But more of a commonly done project kind of meme than random crap.
