Is there anything I can harvest that I can use to connect the power supply to the electronics?

Would it be advisable to get the 12AWG Stranded THHN Wire to finish this project?

OP here, if I cut one of these computer power cords could I use the wires inside?

All I would need to get is 12-10AWG Butt Splices, but I think some electrical tape could hold it together.
