DIY workout equipment
post what you made

my father wants to make me gymnastics rings from wood on our CNC machine, but I'm not sure where to get these ropes you hang on. they have to be sturdy, as I don't want to fall. do you know where I could get them or how I could make them? pic related

I don't think making the rings by cutting them out will work well. I think they're usually formed by steaming an bending so the the grain is consistent all the way around... Wouldn't the be hugely likely to snap otherwise?
