One for UK anons.

>Lifetime guarantee
>Cheap and often on sale
>Easy to get a trade card to make them even cheaper

Are they actually any good?

Have this exact set. Pretty good so far, nice choice of sockets + plenty of extensions for the awkward bits. Chrome-vanadium for the most part though so engage safety squints if you're using an impact

Yes lad I've had a 100+ piece set for about 10 years, nicely finished, can't remember who exactly they're made by (or were made by when I bougt my set) but remember Stahlwille being mentioned, they're decent tools

the larger sets come with proper inpact sockets or you can just by them seperately

>wobble extensions with knurled grips
>multiple u-joints
>proper deep and 6pt sockets
>3 spark plug sockets
>doesn’t look to skip sizes

Those ratchets plus some other stuff make me think it’s the Apex-Gearwrench type stuff, which is good Taiwan made for the weekender and there’s not much better on a budget without having to spend $$$ on stuff made in first world countries.

I bought that 3/8 craftsman 36T and a bunch of other usa craftsman wrenches and ratchets back in the 20th century.
Feels so much better than any of the chinkshit you can get these days.

I’m not a fan of them, they’re too short. Also not all of the US made Craftsman is equal, the later ones got worse and they started making the selector switch out of plastic instead of painted metal on the older ones.

Beyond the short handle, they’re meh, especially after I got that Williams. The fit and finish of the parts is so far apart. They’re both 36T, but on the Craftsman, you get 10deg to catch the next tooth plus another few degrees of slop, so it could be like 20deg back to get the next tooth, but the Williams has barely any movement so it catches the next tooth right away and is much closer to a 10deg swing.
