/diy/ I have a question thats burning my head out. After being locked up for covid yet again I've decided to do a few maintenance shit around the apartment and during the moving day a few months ago, I broke the hinge on a door.
I thought nothing of it and just went on about my day but I've decided to finally fix it and I can't for the life of me figure out what this hinge is called. Can someone please tell me so I can order a new one?

It looks like that

Thanks for your input pal, but there's a load of different types of door hinges and i can't seem to find out what this one is called

i had a decent reply typed out but the spam filter kept telling me it looked like spam so it wouldn't let me post
go to fiskostar.ee and look under the fiskars-abloy-hinges section. there's something there that looks pretty similar

it calls the thing on the right "uksep kilp", which apparently means "door shield", but that phrase literally translated does not mean the same thing in English, so I wasn't able to find more of them

it's a snap-on hinge.

A snap-on hinge is gonna cost you at least $750, but it'll be guaranteed for life.

What could one possibly do to a residential, interior door to break the hinges? Is it really worth at least $750.

It looks like a spring hinge, aka self-closing hinge. Confirm by seeing the leafs spring together. These are used to keep a fire door closed when not in use.
Yours seems to be a particular brand with the oval cover plate, but you should be able to replace with other styles.

Please tell me that is for a cabinet and not a full-size door. If it is, it's a self-closing cabinet hinge. You get the door most of the way closed and it goes the rest of the way.

If it is a full-size door then you need to upgrade to something beefier.

Its for a door, all the doors in the apartment are fitted with them with no issue.

As I was moving a couch in, I kinda snapped the plastic part of it, which is what I'm after replacing. The hinge itself still works, but for the life of me I can't find what the plastic thing is called

Its not a spring hinge, the door doesn't close by itself, like with all the other doors in the apartment. The plastic part goes over the hinge itself

Dude, that guy literally found the manufacturer's website.

Fiskars 6540 uksepulne kilp

That's a slightly more modern mating part with the same form and dimensions.

It's a hinge.
It says "fiskars" on it.
Now I know this may sound crazy, but perhaps entering the phrase "fiskars hinge" into an internet search engine would result in finding the object you're looking for?

I did try that but because of language barriers I couldn't find it.

Thanks to the previous fellas input ive got it and now everything is resolved

There should be no part of a door hinge that's made out of plastic... like wtf cheap ass shit is that?
