I want to build a sturdy stand for my laptop. I did some searches and it appears cardboard is pretty popular.

What design do you recommend for a laptop stand? Any templates I can use?

Pic related, but I heard this design can get wobbly and make your laptop slide off.

does it have to be wide open like that? why can't it just be a wedge shape made from wood or something

Probably make it at less of an angle and slightly lower to the ground, compensate with thicker cardboard.
