You just have to change a recipe a little bit, I've done those a couple of times and they taste quite good, it's a easy way to make petit gâteau.

It worked when I did it. If you use cake flour and follow the instructions, you get a bland tasting brownie.

>> No.17280

You can really improve this recipe by adding just a pinch of salt, a teaspoon of vanilla extract (or experiment with other flavors) and 1/4 tsp baking powder. Chai mix tastes pretty good, so do the cheap "cappuccino in a can" flavors and whatnot. I like a lot of lemon extract and French vanilla powder. Even with the additions and tweaks it's not as good as real cake, but I'm not going to make an entire cake at 3am when I get cravings for it.

Homemade yogurt.

Ingredients:
1 tsp plain live culture yogurt
Milk (can be pasteurized, homogenized, 1%, skim, whole etc. It just has to come from an animal)

Directions:
Simmer milk for ten minutes to unravel the proteins.
Cool milk to 100 *F
Stir in 1 tsp plain live culture yogurt
place milk in and oven set to 100*F and incubate for 6 to 8 hours

When yogurt is set cool in fridge and mix in whatever flavoring you like (berries, honey, granola, etc) or enjoy plain!

If you want to make Greek Yogurt take the yogurt and filter out the whey by pouring it through three or four layers of cheese cloth.

save some of you yogurt as a culture for your next batch, it should last a couple weeks.

I haven't done THIS recipe, but i regulary do eggs in a mug and nuke them.
If you forget to stir, it pops.
If you don't watch while you nuke, it can spill out of the mug.
If you don't do the mid stir, then it will split in a solid phase, and a super-hot liquid one.
Here is my usefull post of the day.
Behavior of the compound suggested by OP maybe react differently tough, since i'm using just eggs (with some salt and pepper, but that's not much compared to his recipe).
Another thing: water in the mug once you're done.
Otherwise the residue will dry and form a kinda resilient crust when you'll wash your dishes. (nothing ridiculous, just really boring to scrub).
