My aunt has a wooden, steel backed security door. Her house used to be a bank, there are no low windows except one which is still quite high up and barred. Her daughter went out today and left the door unlocked for me to go in and put up some kitchen shelves. I go over, the door won't open. It definitely appears to be locked.

Now there's a huge steel bolt that goes across the inside. I think it's wiggled its way closed very slightly inside. Now nobody can get in, it doesn't matter if they have keys, the bolt is closed.

There is also a back door from the basement (I have the basement key, can get in fine) but it's padlocked on the inside. So no way to open from the basement side.

I need tips on how to break into a steel security door if we can't get it open. I've already been shouldering it pretty hard, won't budge at all. Or would it be easier to break through the basement door? Thanks in advance.

The door is like 100 years old btw, solid wood and 3mm plate on the whole back. The bolt is about half an inch thick. There isn't a window.

Go in through the basement. Kick it, don't use your shoulder like a retard. You're not getting in without breaking something, so make it the basement door where the appearance doesn't matter as much.

This. You should be able to get past that padlock (rip the screws out that are holding the hasp into the door or the frame) with a couple well-placed kicks. Face away from the door while kicking. A stomp is what you're trying to accomplish, like a mule-kick. Don't face the door while you kick, that's how you break a hip or the small bones in your foot.

Oh, if the basement door opens outward, use a prybar instead of your foot.

On any outward swinging door, knock out the hinge pins and the door comes down.

>> No.1633569

>>1633565
Sure, except that it's a (former) bank door and therefore most likely hardened against basic attacks.

Yeah... don't.
It doesn't matter if you're using "the right technique", if the door doesn't budge, you're in for a bad time. I personally know a guy that ultimately had to have reconstructive knee surgery after kicking in a door, using "the right technique".

I enjoy this idea, but op said the door has 3mm plate steel covering the entirety of the rear (inside) surface.

>>1633565
>knock out the hinge pins and the door comes down
I'm in the US, and all kinds of businesses here have to have outward-swinging doors, to meet fire code. Do a quick search for "hinge security pin" and educate yourself.

Just go on youtube and look up forcible entry techniques that the fire and recuse use. Almost every type of door imaginable is covered. A halligan tool will pop most doors. Or if you couldn't give a fuck about damage to the door and just want to gain entry hire a consaw or whatever it is called in the states. That shit will cut the door in half for you in seconds.

Please note : These techniques are NOT to be used in the commission of a crime.
