If a pawn shop gave anything for them, it would be about $20 for the whole lot. $30 if the lot includes the break, which I doubt a pawn shop would want.

At a 3-day estate sale, you might net $40 for the handful of things that actually sell. An estate sale company that has the geetus to draw the buyers who have any interest in this shit will be 40% commission, minimum.

Even a high-school vo-tech class has no use for old used tools. Unless your time is worth absolutely nothing, chuck it all into a metal recycling skip and move the fuck on.

Most pawn shops I have been to hate dealing with bare tools anyway. They will buy tool truck ratchets and boxed sets, but they don’t want your $5 tape measures because it’s not worth the time for them to inventory the shit and sell it. They often have a random box of sockets and wrenches that you can dig through but I’m pretty sure that’s loose crap that came in with boxes.

>> No.1619091

>>1619088
>>1619082, again.
The only place you can get anything for shit used tools is at a big flea market. You'll have to pay for a spot to park and set up your tables and awning-tent-thing. The thing to remember is that you want to take NOTHING back home - not even the shitty tables and awning. Around 1:00 PM on Sunday, start giving the tools away to other vendors and/or lookie-loos. Better if you can get another vendor to take them. Well, better for your tires, anyway.

You're not going to retire on the couple of nickels you might get from shifting all this garbage. You're not going to have fun doing it, either. Old tools are heavy, and a pain in the ass to carry out of the basement up rickety stairs, and haul around in something sturdy enough to carry more than a pair of pliers and a center punch. You should have a solitary goal: get someone else to carry ALL of this shit away. If you pocket enough for lunch, you won.

What you mean $40?

The 3gal was $60 with hose and fittings and a blow gun and air chuck, all that I wanted it for. A 6gal with good cfm was $99, but then I would need to spend another ~$40 on the other shit, and I didn’t want to spend $150 at the moment if I was going to get a bigger one in the future. At least now I have a better line and good tire inflator so I can get away with just the cost of the tank.

There’s a couple 120V Northstars and IRs for <$500. Pic related is tempting, it’s only 8gal but it has a good motor (4CFM @ 90psi) and would fit real nice in the garage, has a 4yr warranty too. Also the NT manager gave me a coupon for $50 off $250. I was going to grab one of those blue 21gal compressors from HF based on just the numbers, but then I saw the build quality of these NorthStars and the IRs and it’s night and day for the extra $100-$200.
