Why haven't all you boomer grasscucks taken the mosspill yet?
moss
>never have to replant seeds
>don't have to cut regularly
>green in the winter
>green in the middle of droughts
grass
>waste thousands of dollars on consumables each year
>dies if you look at it the wrong way
>pay filthy illegals to maintain it
>brown in winter
>brown in summer
>green for maybe 2 weeks in the spring and 1 week in the fall

Moss doesn't have roots. Grass can have roots up to a foot deep. Grass is intended to keep your soil from eroding and moving away due to the elements.

Gee is this why all the forests are floating in thin air because all the topsoil disappeared?
Your shitty lawn doesn't grow trees very well because you water it, and a handfull of shrubs aren't enough to do the job.

>> No.1602016

>>1601984
You're retarded.
Forests are an uneven mess of large roots. Trees hold large body's of dirt, small amounts of erosion happens on the surface. You don't want your land to be a bunch of water holding holes. You want a flat lawn that slopes away from your house so that it draws the water away.

Maintaining a lawn is not very difficult.

> Apply some weed and feed
> spray for weeds
> cut it occasionally

I prob spend a total of 20 hours on my lawn every year. And it looks perfect and I can walk all over it without it turning to mush like moss would.

So get fucking real mate.

Be me, parents make me mow lawn. Really hot days, won't let me in till job is done. Have strong reaction to cut grass allergens. Come back looking bright red, itching all over and eyes so watery it looks like I am crying.

get this reply from unsympathetic people

lawnmower breaks, family gets push mower to be more eco friendly. blades dull after a few months, nobody can sharpen because of unusual shape.

Eventually have a mental breakdown and cut lawn with scissors, which actually helps with allergies (still get some reaction) and I can sharpen the blades myself, now takes entire weekend to cut lawn. So I lose what fun free time and social life I have. It is sad, but it beats the torment of those grass alleges, and scratching my flesh off.

The all consuming task prevents the social networking needed to find job, because it is not what you know but who. I have no doubt lawns, especially grass lawns are torture, this is actually backed historically as they have been used as discriminatory tools of the wealthy to keep the poor out, along with HOA and others method to depress people. Which I now have to deal with as an adult.

Have been told I can't just let nature over take my yard or make a "dead" rock garden (looks nice with super low maintenance, but not acceptable?) as it must be "green". This moss thing maybe the solution to a life long torment.

>Grass is intended
That's not why people have grass in their lawns
It's a benefit, sure, but that's not traditionally why people have lawns of grass
And for the most part, people's lawns won't really erode because they aren't really exposed
Unless you live in an incredibly tornado-y area, you won't experience any real erosion

Tell me about moss, OP.

Can it survive mediterranean (hot summer) areas?

If the current land is covered in grasses, what's the proper way to kill the grass and replace it with moss?
