Indeed, Tyvek doesnt allow water to GET OUT, every barrier eventually leaks so an intelligent solution is to have a backup plan of drying out like even the most basic log house has.

Honestly, we need triple the case workers and give them far more autonomy.

Case in point, locally 20.000 people that just aren't competent to run their own lives costs ~a billion a year in court cases, emergency housing, rehab, jail time, involuntary commitments and other expenses from them just not being able to handle normal life.

It could be done for a thousandth if they were assigned a rent-free home, a buss pass and a nurse to come by and make sure they took their medication/stayed sober.

there is a place for short term solutions and longterm solution. If you are going an a hollyday and need a diving mask, you wont buy the most expensive one but a cheapo, if you buy a car and have tripple digets IQ youll but used quality, but it seems you simply cant buy used quality house in US due to poor quality.
