All the flukes i use beep when you turn to volts with a lead in the amps socket.
The circuit from the amps socket is very low impedance so essentially a direct short. That's why it blew up because you put a short across mains.
Measuring voltage is ideally very high, infinite impedance so as to not draw current at all which is why you can measure voltage with it at all really.
Hopefully there is more than one fuse, certainly it might still measure voltage if something in the current path only blew up. Whether what took the hit was a fuse or something else is for you to find out, probably the fuse is the most expensive option if you want a genuine replacement!!

For fat wheels its cheaper to widen your own rims instead of having to order a custom set and most customs are made with chinesium. The last thing I want is a drive wheel rim under a >1000hp car turning into shrapnel.

>The Journal of the American Medical Association reported on a family that burned CCA in a wood stove for winter heating. Their hair fell out, all family members suffered severe, recurring nosebleeds, extreme fatigue and debilitating headaches. The parents complained about 'blacking out' for periods of several hours, followed by long periods of extreme disorientation. Both children suffered frequent seizures described as 'grand mal'. The symptoms were finally traced to breathing minute amounts of arsenic laden dust leaking from the furnace as fly ash. The family's houseplants and fish died, too, victims of copper poisoning from the same dust. Peters HA, et al: Seasonal exposure to arsenic from burning CCA wood. JAMA 251:(18)2393-96, 1984)

years ago I worked on a jail/federal court house electrical service change, shut down for 36 hours hook up to a generator temporarily for vital things like heat (10f outside that night) new gear ect.... apparently there was also a server in the building that handled 911 calls for the area and rerouted them to a call center hiding in the wardens closet for the last 10 years, covered in dust and all sorts of crap. After we shut down power for a few minutes someone got a call and thats how everyone, including the warden, found out 911 was down for the area. It had been down for 30 minutes at that point and I think it got found and hooked back up to power another 30 minutes after that.

can you imagine you just got in a car accident somewhere without a lot of people around, your friend dying and you get a not in service response when you call 911?

Its free wood.
If you're not as dumb as the average American, you know how to tell if its been treated with pesticides. If it has, much like your food, then you shouldn't really be burning it, especially if marked with an MB.

Pallets are used to ship many things (food for example) which requires the wood to only be heat treated and are a valid source of upcycling wood. They are also a great way for beginners to learn without being jewed for trash wood from stores.

Pallets were so badass when I was a kid. Every once in a while my dad would bring a few home from work for my sister and I. To us it was so perfect as a fort and platform prefab, because it was self stable and way easier than using 2x4s for everything.

very funny, but the other anon was correct, when it's you and someone else, you are supposed to say "my sister and I"; "my sister and me" is retard level.

That paint will be pure carbon dust by the time you get your morning latte. The rubber boot on the piston caliper will be most heat affected but there will be zero additional heat. Actually there will be less heat until the paint is gone, the paint will lubricate the brakes, therefore less brakes no extra heat but it will burn off and be fine.

What your looking at is a box encasing control equipment. What that gear in the box is controlling idk without having been there. Things like lights, automatic blinds, to telling a piece of switch gear to turn off or on. He cleaned it up, but the panduit covers were gone. Things are easier to trace, troubleshoot, and repair when its all cleaned up. It also really shows the next guy if you cared or not.

Haha. Cleanroom.

I used to be the lead engineer at a medical device company. We had an ISO Class 10000 cleanroom. Yes there are far better but this was rather large and typical for these types of devices.

Some idiot changed the climate control system to 75f / 0%H. Zero. The system ran all weekend trying to achieve 0% humidity. We came in on Monday to find that moisture had been pulled in through the walls and bubbled the paint inward. They wiped down the walls with cleanroom wipes and continued working. I was shocked.

Another time, some dolt sliced his hand open while packaging product. Capillary action pulled his blood into the product, which had 0.006” channels running through it. He didn’t notice, bagged them, and put them in outgoing post-QC. We found it the next day and moved the bags to quarantine. The idiot went back and had them shipped that night. Never got a call. I have to assume they failed biocomp. Otherwise, some poor bastard got this idiot’s gamma-sterilized blood in their IV restrictors
