What the FUCK are these things, and how the fuck do I get rid of them? They come back literally in days, and they are EVERYWHERE!

There is nothing in this room but a carpet, a futon matress on the floor, and bare sheetrock. No food or anything rotting.

Thats what I thought at first, but I dont really understand how. They were all over these oaint cans I just purchased. All over the styrofoam that came from an AC I just purchased (pictured)

Like, what the fuck. I scrubbed everything this past thursday.

Unless this is something that can come from the crawlspace (sand foundation) because there is a 2x8 inch hole in the corner on the floor.

Either way, Im about 2 days away from setting the place on fire.

>> No.1426212

>>1426205

I can rule out the walls, since I demoed the whole room back in october, and put in new insulation and walls.

Fucking sucks if its something in the crawlspace.

So, my only option is to go down there, find whatever it is, and carry it out and walk it down the road/call the town to pick it up.

Now, I did also drop my old cieling and put up new insulation and sheetrock there too, but every year, birds find there way into my attic, directly above my room. If a bird died there, would that possibly be the cause as well?

A couple things. Some insects can consume styrofoam, they may actually be living inside it, so cleaning the outside, then waiting might just cause new ones to come out. Can you put a coin next to what we're looking at for scale. Post a pic of the hole in the floor too. How do you clean it? What's the area look like when you're done, and after how long does the mess appear again?

We need more information to help.

if they are drain flies (Im not certain) they need water to live, if you keep the place dry they should stop coming.

Years ago I lived in an apartment with a filtration on the bathroom from the upper floor, one of the walls would was always wet due to this. The maggots could live and grow on a vertical tile wall with just the water and drain crap that came with it.

Why didn't you buy windows with a proper depth to fit your wall thickness?
You're going to have a hell of a time plastering over all this stuff, which you could have avoided by doing a better job.

A centipede-like creature discovered on successful hunts by League hunters.

Vermin, found hidden within filth, are only seen by League confederates, and are the root of man's impurity. The League has assumed the task of finding and crushing all vermin.

Perhaps there is some mercy in the madness. Those who wish to see vermin can, and those who choose to are provided with boundless purpose.

You did fine.
Only criticism I have:
You did left window correctly - drywall surrounds window, no cuts for window.
Right window is wrong - vertical cuts straight up from window will weaken every time window is open and closed.
Eventually crack.
Drywall fags are bitchy because it's the only skill they have,
It is also the one skill that a homeowner can attempt DIY without killing himself or causing major damage.

You're utterly fucked - but you're also in luck, OP.
I know exactly what you need to do.
You may be able to unfuck yourself if you follow these instructions...

Head to the nearest superstore and acquire:
- A couple dozen black garbage bags
- A few rolls of duct tape
- Disposable latex gloves
- Heavy duty rubber gloves (dish-washing kind)
- Several packs of silicone caulk (for small cracks)
- Several packs of foam sealant
- Several pounds of diatomaceous earth (aka D.E. Earth, diatomite earth, kieselguhr).
- A zippered bedbug cover / "bed bug blocker"
- A can of liquid bleach
- Extra vacuum bags for your vacuum cleaner
- Several flea traps (or make them yourself)
- Double-sided sticky tape
- Disposable particle mask (optional: I would prefer this)
- Door & window-frame rubber seals
- Bed bug UV detection light
- Strong LED headlight

Inspect the room, as well as the rest of the house, using the UV light & headlight. Latex gloves are good to have, as you're going to be feeling and touching dirty and possibly infested surfaces for signs of life.

Then put on thick rubber gloves and get to action.
Empty the room completely, and I do mean completely.
Any and all fabrics, clothes, bed covers, pillows, foam covers, blankets, curtains, and rugs MUST be removed from the room. Place them in double-layered black garbage bags, and tie or tape them closed. Everything removed from the room MUST be inspected visually, preferably while having a UV/LED light on.

Vacuum every part of the room, and preferably everything you remove from the room. Put the vacuum bags in sealed plastic bags and throw it out. Stuff some DE into every crack you can find, and seal every single crack in the walls, floor, ceiling, windows, et c. Don't forget to mount some electric outlet covers on the walls, you savage. Mount rubber seals on the windows and doors.

(cont)

>> No.1434142

>>1434140
Wash everything that can be washed, at least at 140°F (preferably more) for about an hour. Use diluted bleach as per instructions on any piece of fabric that can tolerate it. This will reliably kill fleas, eggs, and larvae. Wash any and all textiles you own.

Build a simple raised futon platform, and put your futon inside the airtight "bed bug blocker". Spread DE all over the futon, the inside of the cover, and underneath the platform. Zip it closed and duct-tape every part of the zipper. Once everything's washed, you may be able to have place to sleep in again. Throw some DE underneath your bedsheets, inside the closet, in corners. Btw, the foam sealant goes in larger cracks and holes.

Place flea traps here and there inside the room. Mount double-side tape in various locations, close to places where they have lived before. Carefully move your shit in there again, and inspect it before you move it back. Vacuum every few days, and check the inside of the vacuum bags for traces. Check yourself for fleas and flea bites every time you shower for the next half year.

Chances are that they can be found in many other parts of the house, and that's a new level of devilry.

Good luck
