I know nobody will see it. I know they won't open this again until they demolish the building. I know it's a waste of time. But I have to make it look good right?

I used to do electrical work, and this shit would trigger me like theres no fucking toomorrow

when I made up a panel that shit was neat clean and looked like a fucking masterpiece. this is a fuckin joke. HOW you do your job tells others what a pro you are. this is shit tier work and I wouldnt pay any electrician to do that fucking kind of sloppy ass nigger-rigged shitfest

I can see it is a 3-phase transformer, but my knowledge in electricity does not go far. What the colors code for ? Anyway, nice job anon, at least if someone else has to open it he will not have to spend the next hour understanding what is going on there.

This looks neat, tidy, easy to see where everything goes.
But imagine swapping one of these wires, how many fucking cable ties have to be cut and replaced, all the wires are bunched i still have to untangle it. Actually it's not much better to work on it just looks nice.
So really you should aim to make things easy to work on and have it look nice as a side effect not aim for prettyness if it's still a cunt to do anything.

Yellow lines are way more plus whatever is hidden, that's the point, shouldn't bundle and tie together, they should all be tied to the enclosure, laid out beat and flat.
Are the cables even derated for this kind of bundle installation?

I cracked open my panel when I was finishing out my garage, I had to look twice because it looked exactly like this..... I was selling the house so I hung the drywall and put the panel back on. I couldn't handle it. I'm a mechanic I don't even do house shit professionally and I almost puked.

Pride in your work is becoming a lost art.

Electricians that take the time to route cables or bend conduits to look like an elegant sculpture are being replaced by cheap fucks that run MC cable everywhere.

Take pride in what you do Anon, I frame every building hoping someone will see my work later and appreciate it even if it takes me a bit more time every day.

>> No.1372667

>>1372406

sure. would you rather spend extra time to make it neat and professional, or time in court when you burn someones house down and they sue you for it? companies have things in place for liability reasons. any reputable company will require their electricians to do safe and professional work, unless you are hiring the homeless mexicans that hang out in front of home depot.

I wonder who is hoarding all the covers for cable ducts inside electrical panels.

Some guy must have his garage full of them.

Not my image, but my impression is that they tend to disappear after a while.

>> No.1373240

>>1372912
From what I’ve seen, those covers get ripped off when tracing wires during when something goes wrong and just never get out back on before being eventually trashed.

My navy base was full of them. They both outnumbered and didn't match the cable ducts we had.
