I made a few more bird houses last fall. I used conduit concreted into 5 gallon buckets. Now that the spring has sprung I'd like to paint the buckets to look a little more natural. I like using the spray on plasti dip, but it takes forever to dry solid and worried about the fumes for the birds. Any other suggestions? I'm quite good at doing camp on rifles but not sure if that is the method I should go.

paint the bucket green just regular exterior paint color matched to grass.. a quart can should be plenty. paint the bucket and pipe. inside the bucket, get a piece of sod and put it in there. or if you dont want the maintenance of watering it, get a piece of fake grass and glue it in there.. make it blend in as much as possible. also attack sharp spikes to the pipe to prevent squirrels from climbing up the pipe and stealing all your birdfood

Is it too much to ask people to be thorough and question what they are seeing? He mentioned a bird house and I didn't see one. How do I even know it's actually a bird feeder and he isn't trying to paint something else? The burden of proof is on him that he really has a bird house.

Get some big planters, drop in the full bird house setup, fill it with potting soil and add some plants.
