Aeolipile or Hero's Engine

I'm looking to build a high quality hero's engine or aeolipile. I'm getting interested in steam engineering and I think this would be a great starting project which I could admire.

I know how to make one with cheap materials, but I'm interested in making a high quality one with good metals. Unfortunately, this is my first DIY project and I don't own any tools.

Someone guide me in the right direction of what I should use. I also don't own a bunsen burner or anything, so could someone give me a tip on how I could easily heat the water up?

You'll have a hard time without machine tools. A lathe would be a great place to start.

This couldn't be easier. It's literally a chamber on an axle with steam vents.

You can't think of ANY way other than a bunsen burner to heat up water?

I don't want to be that negative guy who shits on people's plans, but it really doesn't seem like you've thought about this past "might be cool".

I understand what you mean. But, I don't own any tools to drill a hole through metal, which the chamber requires.
