Set to buy some land in AL in a few days, finalizing documents now. The survey was good, the perk test came back fine. Local water, power, internet are all right there. I'm 5 minutes from parents, grandparents, and brother. I intend on starting up a small homestead since I could easily retire at this point with the money and assets I have gotten up to this point.

Anything else I need to consider before buying the land?
