Hey. Looking for ideas on how to build a play room that won’t look too Obvious. (probably make it look like a weird workout room)
Any ideas on how to camouflage a st Andrew’s cross ?
Fell free to share any other restraint ideas that cross your mind. Or Any must have pieces that you recommend.
Bonus points if a device can serve various purposes.

If you are going to build one, 1) heavy duty hinges at the top, 2) quick release braces at the bottom, 3) folds up and goes under bed.

As for minimalist approach, that is the plan. But it makes everything feel so "fragile" ? probably just an impression, but, see what i mean ?

Always thought if I got more in to it, a good quality armoire might be a nice place to store the equipment, instead of in a box under the bed or stuffed in a closet. Hooks for the leather restraint belts, shelves for the plugs and restraint cuffs, etc. Then all your expensive gear is arranged nicely but easily hidden from view.

I agree with the other anons. Some attractive canvas, and design it so the legs detach from the base with wingnuts. It can at least be moved closer to the wall, and not taking up all that floor space when not in use. I would locate a stud and screw an eyebolt in, then attach to the cross for safety's sake. Don't want someone pitching forward somehow.

Something like a small twin or full size, four post bed could be fun. Remove a lightweight mattress or futon cushion to reveal the bondage board underneath, with all the slots and tie down d-rings ready to go. A sturdy, high backed wooden chair is nice. I've got a good old one, with armrests, braces between the legs, and slots in the back. The cushioned seat can be swapped out for one with an access hole. No eyebolts but that's what ropes and straps are for. You might score one at an estate sale.

No need to camouflage, just hide it entirely, dedicate one room of your house (preferably a basement) to it and put a bookshelf as a door.
Add copious amounts of insulation and a padded wall and you're good to go.

This depends on where the entrance to the room is. Wouldn't work if its in the middle of a corridor. The door would need to be at the end of a corridor or off another room.

You could also build in some disguised dividers and split your play section off from the main room. Doesnt need to be too deep, just enough to fit your cross and some shelves for your equipment. Make them full length mirrors to add to that workout room look.

Put up a sign that says "TOTALLY A RAPE DUNGEON", stack some empty boxes in front of the dungeon stuff (a sheet over the stuff you can't really hide) and put your vacuum in there. Instant storage room. When you bring someone over, they'll be impressed your rage dungeon is labeled and think you're you aren't ashamed of your fetishes, even though you totally are.

One of these attached to the end of a long board can make a decent stretching rack. Manual lever so you don't accidentally pull too far. I've been wondering what uses those HF electric hoists could have.

Sure, easy. get a sheet of light thin plywood, add a few bolts/nuts to attach to cross, put a dartboard on it.
Dartboard stand so no one marks the walls.
As soon as I have a house, I'm planning to design a dinner table with a removable top that does the same type of thing.

I've also thought one of the better ways to do a hidden door is a big hinged mirror in a large frame and a magnetic latch. Add a discrete second locking latch behind the top of the frame perhaps?

I've actually seen specific warnings to stay away from those, because they can't be used for stretching @ not quick enough control and the brake is terrible. Easy to get someone suspended and have a "now what?" when trying to get them down without dropping onto floor from height.

Not him, but guessing something like a reinforced horizontal frame with ratcheting straps, so they hang spread eagle. So wrists AND ankles. I would also suggest/guess a waist/butt and a back/chest strap to take a lot of the weight.

Yeah I wouldn't use it for stretching either. Just vertical lifting with plenty of space between hands and hoist. And you'd think if you bought one with a high enough rated capacity, lifting one person wouldn't be much strain on the brake. At any rate carabiners on the restraints should help alleviate the "now what" scenario.

And I agree on distributing weight to ankles, or waist and chest straps (with a caution to not distribute too much weight to the chest or stomach/diaphragm). Trying to hang from wrist restraints not designed for suspension put a lot of pressure on my thumbs; haven't got around to buying ones more suited to the purpose.
