I have 2 old electronic organs like this
I been trying to sell them on Craigslist, letgo, and wallapop for 3 weeks with no success.

Is it better to strip them of there parts and sell them for scrap or just give them to Goodwill?
Open to other suggestions.

If they work restore the cosmetic damage and make an attempt to take a decent picture and actually market the damn thing

half the problem with craigslist fuckers is that they can even take a picture.

This is what I do with my record player business

Where are you OP? I saw a free one on Craigslist the other day that was working and everything. It looked exactly like yours. The owner just didn't want it

No experience with musical instruments but if you aren't near a big city then I doubt anyone wants it

Ops organ is not a pipe organ. It's electric.

We had one of those (simpler models) in our church for ˜20 years.

Ask around if there are churches near you that would need it and how much they would be willing to pay.

Organs, wheather electric or not are not exaclty party instruments.

>> No.1050784

OP, that organ looks like shit.

Electric organs are worth fuck all unless they are a sought after model which basically mean Hammond B2 and a couple other models.

If you want to get rid of them, open it up, pull the tubes and sell them as a working set.

Collect your $40 and bring those to the dump.

>Hammond B2

B2's are sought after but I suspect you meant B3, the most common well-known model.

Any Hammond tone wheel model (electro-mechanical machines, very heavy) is sought after - A/B series, L-and M-series plus a few others (e.g RT3).

Some non-Hammonds are okay. Brands like RMI and WLM are worth saving.
A number of home organs came with
builtin Leslie (rotating) speakers
which could be worth extracting and making into a standalone unit.

Dude stuff like this is absolute treasure to some people, they just don't check listings every day. Three weeks is a short time for a big item.

Check eBay for similar items, see if you can find a electronic organ enthusiast forum. They'll give you a proper price. I bet those world sell for $500 in SF. Hipsters love this shit.

Only save room for Hammonds.

Pull any red tip tubes and junk the thing. Red tips are the very highest quality tubes you could get and were used in medical and military equipment.
>low noise
>no microphonics
>gain matched triodes
Those old organs apparently also needed these tubes to work properly. They're worth more than the organ.

If it's a Hammond and worth restoring, you're in luck.
Probably one of the most knowledgeable Hammond organ minds in the US lives in your backyard.
