Hello guys, ¿Someone know how to make a centrifugal?
Pic 100% related.

I would imagine a drill hooked up to a salad spinner??? Why do you want one?

find a fast motor and attach over 9000 pounds of counterweight to it

For what purpose? Design to your needs,

This basically
To do it a little better look into specs of centrifuges that you want to imitate and adjust RPMs and such

What are you spinning / what rcf do you need to reach?

What is your budget?

I might be able to help as I sell centrifuges and other lab equipment. What # x G do you need to reach? RPMs are not a common denominator that you can use as the radius of the rotor changes with various models and man's. Last but not least, what do you plan to spin in, i.e. plastic tubes, bottles, multi well plates? Are you trying to form a pellet, create a smear, or divide liquids into layers like rbcs, plasma, buffy coat?

I need make one for a final project in my 3rd worldist university.
The centrifugal must be a scale model and it must work that a functional centrifugal of laboratory, I guess the RPM that 2000rpm. In my house I have a motor of washing machine, the rpm of my motor is ±1100 rpm.

>>1037429
Don't use that motor, you better got a little DC motor and control it with PWM. Or if you are good at electronics you can use a little BLDC, you can implement a PID controller, etc. That depends of your skills

Personally, I'd use a variable speed Dremel. All you need to make is a mount for it and attach it. Then ramp up the speed slowly to whatever you need. You don't even need to alter the Dremel.

Well damn, I just googled and there's a 3D printed centrifuge made for Dremels. lol

Read the thingverse about it.

>33,000 rpm - 51,520 rcf - Dremel 300
>Flying bits of microcentrifuge tubes pose a blinding or injurous hazard. Dremelfuge is unlikely to break; I have yet to break one, whether from Shapeways or Makerbot.

I'd just set it down into a metal container and strap it into place so if it did shatter, everything would be contained.

That's a good idea. A metal coffee can would probably work.

You guys do realize OP is trying to cuck us out of the only step on how-to-make NUCLEAR BOMBS that isn't readily available, correct?

The centrifuges required to enrich uranium are so far beyond the realm of /diy/ that nothing anyone here could say would help in that regard. And, worse, you need a shitton of them and an equivalent shitton of power to run them.

Pic related. how2nuke is public knowledge. The fact that you were able to post what you did, as some random dickweed on the internet, is proof enough of that fact. Actually doing it is a whole other endeavor.

while >>1037594 is correct its not entirely impossible diy a centrifuge powerful enough to enrich uranium the real problem would be finding enough lead to shield you from the radiation its going to generate

Not really. Until your lump of U-235 starts to reach critical levels, it's radiation is pretty mild (700 million year half life). You'll need to wear protective gear to keep from ingesting/inhaling its dust.

So you're saying that the typical /diy/-er has the secret knowledge required to make nukes that the rest don't?
