I use Craftsman exclusively when possible because of the lifetime warranty.

I work in a factory. One time a wrench fell through an industrial rubber mill that makes 600 tonnes of rubber a day. It got flattened out like a pancake. I took it in to see if they'd exchange it. They did.

It's not bad if you're a good salesman. Anything in electronics, tools, appliances, lawn and garden or fitness is either commission or base + commission so if you're good at selling you will make a lot of money, especially during the busy season. No, it'll become a brand war shitfest. Do that AND name specific tools that you actually own or use regularly from that brand that you like or didn't like and why.

>DeWalt - God tier
WUT

DeWalt is more like hit or miss tier. They have some good stuff, but be willing to spend for it. Their lower line of tools suck. I feel the same way about JET - I have seen some decent stuff by them, and I've come across some crap (even in the same or very similar models).

I'd rate Makita same as Milwaukee and possibly over DeWalt.

Also,
>not mentioning Bosch

I should probably be more specific on what tools I actually own that I like and my DeWalt complaints.

Grinders:
I have a DeWalt 6 inch bench grinder and that thing has always vibrated quite a bit to one of the JET ones (though both are crap compared to this old ass 1960's one I used a while back). I also used someone else's newish DeWalt 4.5" angle grinder, and it was crap (although this was the mini 4.5, not the full).

My basis for comparison was my Bosh 4.5" (I think a Model 1810PS), which is a fucking champ.

That said, for DeWalt I have one of their circular saws and a router, and I love them both. The only other circular saw I'd used before that was a Skill one (which was crap), and I'd used some's Porter-Cable, but I wasn't impressed by it. It worked well, but for the price and size, it wasn't very powerful and didn't come with a 1/2" collet.
