Anybody know what material I can use to replicate the vanilla coloured pads on jetstreamsams body? I was thinking of vinyl or some kinda matt coloured leather. I'm gonna fashion the muscles out of foam and cover them in said materials etc, and using a wetsuit as a base.

Any help is much apreciated.

I'd also like to ask how long you think his sword is, and if I should buy a 1 meter long bokuto and airbrush it or just make one from scratch.

Is it also safe to airbrush a wetsuit into the appropriate base colour? Should I use a mesh filter infront of the spray to create a small honeycomb pattern?

....is the vest for something else? Perhaps Booker Dewitt?

I'm going to need to see those pictures. Been thinking about attempting Elizabeth's first outfit, and perhaps later a big sister.

Matte, off-white pleather may work. Are you using wonderfoam?

They're not pro-grade photos mind you but I had fun prancing around the con, lotta fat germans in the background.

I actually went on stage at the 2K booth and we got swag from bodohlands and a "the bureau" fedora.

Did you make the clothing yourself? Everything looks really well done.

Bought the pants, re-purposed the belts, and selected fabric and advised a tailor. The legwork on the waistcoat was done by an old local lady. Cost me 75€ for a custom tailored waistcoat.

Anyway I'm asking about the MGR cosplay! Most of it's gonna be foam and fake leather I guess with copper rivets slammed in.

How should I fasten it to the wetsuit? Glue? Stiching? Can I paint the suit? How should I attach the lil mechanical arm that holds the sheath to my lower back?

You can paint the wetsuit but expect to get hot as hell in it after that.

Any ideas on how I might cool myself? Next to excessive water drinking.

I saw a guy on /cgl/ once who ended up using what amounted to water piping and a sort of radiator. He was doing a Big Daddy or some such though, so he had the room for batteries and shit.

How do I even set that up.

It is absolutely beyond me, I just play with saws, glue, and wood.
Just trying to give ideas.

I have a vague idea on how I might buy tubes and run a spare liquid PC cooler through it.

I need ideas for the mask though, Sam has a headset on and I can hide electrical motors inside those to power the mask, anybody know a good method of making a mechanical system that allows the mask to slide down from the sides of my face to cover the front?

You could re-work this to work with it.

But jetstream sams mask would be harder to make a legit version of since the nose part of the mask is hidden.

Nice, though his set up looks a bit shittier than my design. Though I gotta give him kudos for programming dat shit, I need someone to do that for me.

Looking for a pair of earmuffs now that go along the back of the head that I can pad up with foam and install the lil motors on with a small guide rail. So far I think I'll have to rig a regular hearing protector to go along the back, and rip out the sound proofing.

I also figured out I don't ACTUALLY have to coat everything in leather/vinyl and just y'know heatgun and paint it.
