Have you ever saved pictures of things you'd like to make yourself sometime?

Post those things here.

pic related, I'm planning to make something like this in my room once I redo the whole thing.

I'm one step form doing a mural on one of my walls right now. I've already washed and prepared it. Tomorrow i'm doing the "background" paint. Except i just now realised that i might have set myself a goal too ambitious for my abilities. The desired effect might not be as spectacular as i imagined either. Here's what i was hoping to paint using a digital projector to guied my talentless hands.

Does anyone have plans for something like this?

>> No.466610 [DELETED]

So, decided to do another room in our old-as-fuck house. Wanted to build a little computer area into a boxed-out area under the stairs...

Cut through some terrible 70's paneling and find THIS thing.

Picture is totally related.

Frigidaire Cold Wall PC# 5408447--5-31-46--300m--(33)

My questions is, what the hell do we do with it? I have neither the know-how nor desire to refinish and repurpose it. It turns on, not getting cold yet, finish is in good condition... Is there any interest in vintage appliances? Internet searches reveal a few operations, but they are sellers and refinishers themselves...

How do I fence something like this?

>> No.466680

Too lazy to google a pic, but...

My project will be a big free-to-air satellite system. Two ku-band dishes and two c-band dishes, one fixed and one motorized of each. I've only gotten as far as one fixed ku-band, until I find a good deal on a motorized setup. Thousands of channels, here I come!

It's a bit of a hassle to get it evenly on the balloon. Don't freeze it, because it will sweat when out of the freezer.

chocolate melts at a pretty low temperature. and then it needs to be tempered before you use it (which involves cooling it down even more--when the chocolate is poured on the balloon it will be less than 90 degrees F.)

Untempered chocolate will have streak marks, improper texture, it will lack "snap" and will melt too easily. When making candies or chocolate dipped items like that, chocolate tempering is important. It's kind of a pain in the ass (maintaining the chocolate at the proper temperature after you bring it to temper is a hassle, but once you get the hang of it it is not hard.)
