Got £400 in the pot but stuck on where to start.

I don't think you seem to understand.

Transmitting at 30 Mhz is wildly different than transmitting at 2.4Ghz.

Transmitting on certain frequencies (most in fact) without a license is Illegal. But more importantly than that, It causes interference for those legally and USEFULLY using said frequency.

You come here and ask for help and you can't even explain what you need or want and you seemed confused on why you're called a dipshit??

I think you need to recheck your concept of Irony.

Frequency selection dictates how easy or impossible the transmitter is to design.

Making a transmitter for 1 mhz is easier than making a transmitter for 10 ghz.

Also, making a CW transmitter is a lot easier than making an AM transmitter, which is a lot easier than making an SSB transmitter, which is a lot easier than making an FM transmitter... etc
