Any /diy/ idea on how to get this sucker open without buying the specific bit?

If you're wondering what it is, it's a nintendo 64 cartridge's security screws.

I've had luck getting them open using two screw pointing in opposite directions. Good luck putting it back though.

Like this.

Use a a dremel to cut a slot in it, then open it with a flathead screwdriver. Alternatively melt a pen and push it onto the screw while still melted, I've had varying success with this method.

Honestly, its much easier just having a set of security screws/bits laying around.

I opened a torx before with a flat head, it has to fit exactly along the slot

It also ended up chipping the flathead

ALL OF THESE SUGGESTIONS ARE STUPID.
OP LISTEN TO ME

simply take a bic pen, just a little cheap one, heat up the end with a lighter. shove it into the bit hole and press firmly and let it cool, keep it in place.
then pop it out and you have your very on screw driver.

>did this with my snes to hack a new power adapter brick onto it
>replaced all screws after with phillips head cause fuck those screws

Heat up a plastic pen (take the ink out first) with a lighter then stick the end into the hole so it melts to the shape of the screwhead.

Iv'e done that before, I used a dremel on a flathead to create a forked screwdriver for my SNES
