Neither. You CAN make (ammonium chloride) smoke with ammonia solution and hydrochloric acid. The smoke itself isn't particularly hazardous, but ammonia and HCl gases are quite irritating and corrosive.

In addition to that, the presented design sucks seriously ass. You can expect it to fail.

Ty for your input Sir. I had been saving this image in my collection myself, although admittedly it was one of them I was somewhat sketchy about. I did an online search coming to the same conclusion about the gas itself only being slightly irritating whilst the ammonia / hydrochloric acid fumes were toxic.
I did not think however about the mixing, and I can realistically envision it going as you stated.
I will be deleting image now, thx again.

P.S I made a thread last week trying to being attention to the fake "glowstick" troll image (I recently discovered on this board) calling for a mixture of chlorine and isopropyl alcohol (violent reaction)

Whilst I do not believe the original creator of the smoke bomb infographic has such a blatant mal-intent I think it might be helpful for us at DIY to compile a list of the bad info circulating/not to be trusted.

But op pic does create smoke indeed. But that smoke is chlorine gas and kinda poisonous. Cool infographic though
