Here's what I have for each month...tell me what you think. I got an idea to give each month a way to pay homage to each god. However, that could be lame and we can fix it up.

JANUARY - Adam and Jaime
>Mythbuster's Pilot Month. Anons pay respect by putting to test a myth-like DIY guide.
FEBRUARY - Nikola Tesla
>Telsa's Month of Glory. /DIY/ Celebrates By Focusing On Science Oriented Guides.
MARCH - Lina Van De Mars
>Users Provide Offerings Through Uploading YouTube Videos Of Success Or Failure. Lina is representing DIY YouTubers as the one who went pro.
APRIL - Red Green VS. Tony Stark
>Red Green (Low Tech) Versus Tony Stark (High Tech). DIY BATTLE MONTH. The board has all DIYers square off, low tech versus high tech.
MAY - Leonardo da Vinci
>To Pay Respects, Users Attempt To DIY In Multiple Forms. Heals The Board After April.
JUNE - Animated Gods
>Animated DIY Ascended Spirits, And The Mascot. To Praise Gods, Post Skematics, Autocad Drawings, Or OC Guides.
JULY - Marie Curie & Martha Stewart
>Curie Haunts The Board; Stewart Encourages Project Work Each Day Of The Month.
AUGUST - MacGyver
>MacGyver Month Drives Users To Post DIY Guides Using Obscure Object Combinations.
SEPT - Walter Bishop & William Bell
>Named in September after an Observer, users are encouraged to create DIY solutions. (Like how Walter and William create things to solve problems.)
OCT - Doc Brown
>Offerings To This God Are Made By Posting Risky DIY Guides All Month.
NOV - Tim & Al
>Reminding Users Of Holiday Safety, /DIY/ers Share DIY Fails and Biggest Projects.
DEC - Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein
>Bringing The Board Back To Life For A New Year Every Dec. 31st. /DIY/ers Relax All Month.

Thoughts?

It's actually really good, although the only 2 things I would change a little is that February shouldn't just be science oriented, but electricity oriented. And september should encourage /diy/'ers to think outside the box and innovation, try making things in areas that few have ventured into (aka fringe science)

Truth, man. Put Marie Curie with Da Vinci or Tesla or something. Group by specialty, not gender. Martha Stewart is a craft goddess, so she has earned a spot. Curie is just a scientist.
>implying crafting is superior to scientific innovations. I know.

>> No.26579

>>26547
I think Stewart and Curie were paired together to contrast two perceptions of DIY culture. The everyday DIY person, and the person who DIY'd to an extreme. When she haunts the board, it's to balance the board out.

However, I totally get that Martha Stewart is nothing like Curie.

If we switch Martha to November, we lose all the Tool Time Jokes that come with the Holidays. Think of the christmas//thanksgiving episodes of that show. I will politely decline moving Tim and Al. Christmas can happen in July, sure, but I'd stick Martha with that Christmas.

Lain: creates a huge supernetwork in her room out of mail-order parts, liquid cooling via a layer of water on the floor. Integrates her consciousness and network to the collective unconscious of gaia, becomes god through technology hacks.

Nitori: Kappa who builds a nuclear reactor, giant steam-powered robot, and DIYs all the technology in use in the touhouverse, runs around with a wrench, cloaking device and uses nuclear themed attacks.
